Enhanced Connectivity & Entertainment
The connectivity and infotainment center in the new RX has been redesigned and enhanced. The 2020 RX now has Android Auto™ for the first time in a Lexus model. This adds to the suite of smartphone sync options which already included Apple CarPlay®, Amazon Alexa, and Google Assistant®. These interfaces allow users to control their RX’s multimedia system with voice commands and seamlessly access navigation apps, music apps, and use Google Assistant®, Amazon Alexa, or Siri®.
The infotainment center of the new RX has been redesigned along with the enhanced connectivity. The infotainment center in the 2020 RX, RXh, RXL, and RXhL models come standard as an 8-inch touchscreen or an optional 12.3-inch touchscreen. Another update, the Lexus App allows users to do everything from start their RX from their smartphone to schedule service appointments and much more. The voice command system in the 2020 RX has also been improved with Dynamic Voice Command. Available with the 12.3-inch infotainment system, Dynamic Voice Command gives user more voice command options including seamless address entry and more points of interest options.
More Safety Features & Improved Handling
The 2020 Lexus RX lineup received more safety and convenience feature upgrades than ever before. The 2020 RX comes with 10 years of Lexus Enform Service Connect and 3 years of Lexus Enform Safety Connect. The suite of safety features and driver assists has been upgraded to the all-new Lexus Safety System+ 2.0. This new safety suite includes advanced driver assists like an improved Pre-Collision System, daytime bicyclist detection and low-light pedestrian detection, Road Sign Assist, Lane Tracing Assist, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, and more.
The steering and suspension of the RX have been dramatically improved across the entire model lineup. The new RX received hollow front and rear stabilizers to reduce weight and improve stability, retuned shock absorbers, improved roll bars, upgraded dampers, and a friction control device to help reduce vibration and maximize the comfort of the ride. All of these upgrades make the 2020 RX smarter, safer, and more agile than any Lexus SUV we’ve witnessed in the past.
